Re: UPLOAD Problems
This is W7, i doubt it has anything to do with the old, XP dropping network, so they utilized the loop back to keep it active. This is the fah client, not dropping the network after uploading/downloading new wU. It could be a nic/driver issue, i guess, still trying to get a monitor set up to check i...

Re: UPLOAD Problems
Could you give us a little more info? In particular, it would be useful to know - do you see this with every server? - if with just some, could you give some examples? TIA. Yes it seems to happen with all clients. Just had a GPU3 upload, and was still locked on several minutes later. Fah core 15 ip...

Re: Internet Security software and F@H
The first issue, you might have, not knocking any AV software. If the hardware in your profile is correct, you don't have the memory (512meg) needed to run a security suite. The bigger the suite, the more memory/resources they take up. Getting all the settings correct for the apts/etc you want to ru...

The GPU client does not release GPU cycles, like the CPU does. Don't think it ever did, and don't think it ever will.

The viewer works fine for me. But only the system tray, shows the better shots. I did't test it with the 6800's, but the normal
WU's didn't seem to take a big hit. Besides a few points, there isn't any rush to get the WU's done. I mean, no bonus, why worry.

harlam357, looking better every time I play with it.
Can you remove info from the completed units file. Can't really see the need for most of it.
Just Proj - R/C/G - DL date - Completed date - credit
I know I can do it with excel, or whatever, just seems way overboard on info.
Again - LOOKING NICE!!

Re: fahcore 15exe problem
It could be a flag problem. DL client, the latest here: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=16471
Which should negate the need for forcegpu flags.
This is just a drop in. Replace the [email protected]
In theory the 9600GT should fold core_15.

Re: 171.64.65.56 ???
I just put everything to "one unit". I'll just shut down until they decided to get back to normal.
All the talk about blocking IP, and such to regulate WU's, and they do the same thing. Then
they wonder why some do it.
Its like I don't own my machine.

Re: 171.64.65.56 ???
PG has locked the server, so that most WU will come from the other (56). They can do this with "WEIGHT".
Doing the same with fermi WUs right now. They may have a project that needs to be completed in a hurry.

I think the "pause" might be broken. Seems to have different effects too.
But nothing has been confirmed, as I can see.

Re: looking inside work unit data files?
There used to be a file, in the work folder, that if you opened it with note pad, or was it word pad, hmmm. Anyway it would show you the temp, tracjectories, etc, that the protein was to fold at. Not sure if its still there, as it been awhile since I looked at them. Don't do it while the client it r...

Re: Folding pratices guideline
Well after reading through all the references again, and again, this is my take IMO. 1. Ip blocking - a few do this I guess, and I don't see much can be done about it. Too much trouble for me. 2. i7/AMD6 - OK, we know your doing this, and we aren't going to say no, just yet. But don't come crying if...

Re: Folding pratices guideline
Nothing further has been said, by PG, about i7's, AMD6's, or GPU's.
This is all assumptions, that I have never read a definite reply to.
Its like the "soon", these are all "possibilities".
