General problem with Stanford Servers?

Lately I have had issues with getting work and uploading work and there are quite a few posts in the forum about this from other folders. Maybe it's because of "Internet Security" software, ISP's or other factors? Does Stanford have a general issue with the servers or is it me that ask too...

I also have a issue...... I have tried to reset (turn off and then on) my router and I have rebooted my workstation, but still can't upload..... Status on the "BigAdv" Trial?

Just wondering if it's possible to get a bit info on how it's going with the "BigAdv" trial - Is the results below-, as- or better as planed (saw here that one project already gave good results)? Also if possible, please a bit info (is the results below-, as- or better as planed) on the po...

Project: 6013 (Run 0, Clone 160, Gen 98) extremly slow!

Normaly I'm NOT complaning or picking WU's that I don't like, but now I'm thinking of doing it! I have read the posts about 6013, 6040/6041 & 6701 and I still don't undertstand PG! I'm running on a REAL 8-core Xeon (5430@3100MHz) and normaly I get about 6600 Points (17K+ PPD - was 20+K), but now...

FahMon support calc of BonusPoints on BigAdv?

Does FahMon support the calc of PPD based on BonusPoints and WU-points, so for exampel a 3GHz 8-core system that fold 24x7 will show aprox 25K PPD?

Re: 171.64.65.56 is in Reject status

I have tried to upload a Project: 2669 (Run 12, Clone 164, Gen 151) WU from my 8-core system the last 90 min, but still no luck - is is because the server is busy with other up/down-loads?

Re: 100,000 points per day folding beast

If the new nVidia GTX295 (2x 240 Shaders) was a single-card (sadly it's not a singlePCB like the 4870X2, but a DualPCB), it would be possible! A GTX280 (240 shaders) can make about 8K PPD, so a GTX295 should be able to make 16K+ and if you install 6 in a ASUS P6T6 (Core i7 with 6x PCIe x16 slot), yo...

Re: Monitoring of Notfred Clients in Vista?

I don't even use VMWare - It's a pure Diskless system - Just Motherboard, CPU, RAM, VGA-card & DVD-Drive. I can follow the progress (log-file) in my browser on the IP-address given. It should be a walk in the park..... :e?:

Re: Monitoring of Notfred Clients in Vista?

I enabled Windows Networking when I created the Image, using WorkGroup (like my other 2 systems), but my Vista can't see the Notfred-system - Is it because I only run it from CD and didn't install to USB-key?

Point taken "Ivoshiee", but how many "Outsiders" are there? And how can you "apply"?

Re: External Help Wanted with Development?

True, there is a security risk, but maybe there are things that "outsiders" can help with without Stanford PG have to loose sleep over it.... The reason for me to say "a few thousand" is to have programmers to submit code that Stanford then look at and the best code can be includ...
