Re: Project: 6041 (Run 0, Clone 84, Gen 10)
I also had that exact same WU crash the client and cause a pop-up error box. Whenever I restarted it just crashed again. I shut the client off for awhile and then it finally loaded a different WU. Re: Problems uploading to http://171.64.65.54:8080/
I had this same problem before too but dismissed it as a connection glitch on my end. Earlier today I again had the same problem with a 6041 hanging at Attempting to send. WU finished and shut down normally. At 21:11:05 "+ Attempting to send results". After a couple minutes I noticed that ...

Re: GPU server status 171.67.108.21, 171.64.65.71,171.67.108.26
I tried qfix and it didn't fix the queue.dat file to match the wu_results_XX.dat files still being on the machine. I have had good results from qfix in the past but couldn't get it to work this time either. :( Others also report the same: smoking2000 Both the "old" qfix ( Dick Howells las...

Re: GPU server status 171.67.108.21, 171.64.65.71,171.67.108.26
...a WU will finish, attempt to upload, report that it can't connect, keeps in queue, prepares to start a new WU, uploads all unsent work, uploads fine to 171.67.108.21, reports the server already has the WU, deletes WU, downloads new work and the cycle starts again. All GPUs here keep getting assi...

Re: Yet another bonus plan question
AFAIK both A1 and A2 (and A3) WUs count toward the 10 WU minimum and the 80% minimum for a passkey to qualify for bonuses. After you've qualified your passkey, you only get a bonus on projects which have a Kfactor value. If that is the case, most folders should be getting the bonus on their first A...

Re: Do Laptops Get Too Hot?
Running laptops with SMP, SMP/GPU and uniprocessor client(s). CPU and GPU temps vary from mid 60s to low 70s. As others have said, propping something under the back bottom of the laptop to let some air flow really helps with temps. Excellent long-term solution is a rack like uncle fuzzy linked to or...

Re: New at FAH. What is WU and PPD?
Sorry for being such a n00b but I can't seem find what WU and PPD means after searching around. I know they stand for work unit and points per day but what exactly do they tell you? Thanks for bearing with me. Welcome to the forum. :D A Work Unit is one puzzle or unit of work for your computer to s...
