Re: Discussion: what is holding F@h back?

The switch solution can be as simple as listing the switches and what they do on a help screen in the client.

Re: Discussion: what is holding F@h back?

My thoughts after folding for 6 years, which others have said above: - V7 client may not be 100% intuitive, but it's a big step in the right direction for easy of installation and upgrade. The switches are still pretty obscure and probably should be listed for easy reference on the client. - V7 clie...

Re: point system is getting ridiculous...

First, it's simple. Single modification to formula, single data point modified for each WU. Second, it's universal. Applies to all clients and fits into current unified benchmark scheme. Lastly, and perhaps most important, it provides the necessary data needed to form a basis for statistical analys...

Re: point system is getting ridiculous...

I would like to know if my meager contributions are actually worthwhile. It seems that quickly returned work units are several magnitudes more important to the project than the number of work units. Has the project advanced to a point where my stock clocked Q6600, for example, is more of a hindranc...

Kakaostats #1

Kakao: I just wanted to express my gratitude for your stats page. It's a very simple but effective design for conveying a lot of information. Thanks in advance for your work in making it operational again!!! :)

Re: HFM.NET - Client Monitoring Application for Folding@Home

Yes, this client is showing blue Runningasync, as most of my SMP clients are.

The download time does look correct, compensating for the standard stanford time offset. The time on the WinXP host is correct.

In HFM.NET go to the Benchmarks page for that P6021 WU. Is the KFactor showing as 2.1?

Re: HFM.NET - Client Monitoring Application for Folding@Home

I tried that, but I'm still showing 62000PPD on 03:13 frame time. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: HFM.NET - Client Monitoring Application for Folding@Home

I'm running HFM.net v0.4.8 - Beta. On fast i7 machines, the GRO-A3 cores are reporting much higher than actual PPD and credits. For instance, I have a machine on P6021 with frame time: 03:13 and it's reporting 12748 credit and 57070 PPD. The calculator http://www.linuxforge.net/bonuscalc2.php shows ...

Re: (171.67.108.25:8080)

I've got the same problem on a few of my machines. The last few days they are downloading WU's fine, processing them and then are unable to upload. I can ping 171.67.108.25 without problem and it's a hardwired connection. This may be a Linux networking issue, but I'm not sure how to resolve it since...
