Re: Suddenly can't connect?
Quick update, I uninstalled FAH, and reinstalled it from scratch. Now it's running again, and it recognized my configuration correctly without additional setup (which I find surprising). When I deleted my data folder and did a complete uninstall and re-install, how does it now remember my previous s...

Suddenly can't connect?
Hi Folks, I've been running FAH on a laptop with a nvidia 2080ti card successfully for weeks. Today, I rebooted the machine, and it could not find the card. I configured the slot as I had before, but FAHControl wouldn't take the new slot definition. Now, I've re-installed FAH and it's not even conne...

Re: GeForce GTX 680 stuck on Ready
Dear Gunnare and Joe_H,
Thanks for much or the info. I'll setup my mac for a dual boot to use with the "new" GTX 680 coming.
Very much appreciated!
Bob

Re: GeForce GTX 680 stuck on Ready
Uh oh, looks like GPUs are not supported under OSX? That means my new graphics card lets me update the operating system on my old mac, but won't help me fold at all.
Damn. Is that still correct?

Re: GeForce GTX 680 stuck on Ready
Hi Folks, I just ordered a GTX 680 for my old Mac Pro 5,1 from 2009. My current GPU is a ATI Radeon HD 4870 is not recognized, prob because it does not have CUDA So I am trying to replace it with the GTX 680, which is listed in the GPUs.txt file. Also, I can afford to add an old GTX 120, which has C...

Re: 2 different GPUs waiting for assignment
Hey Bruce! Actually that was easier than I expected it to be! I have the NVidia card running as a second gpu again, thanks! The Intel card is paused, all 3 show up in the web client. Anyway to 'hide' the tab to the paused graphics card in the web client? (I'm guessing not) Anyway, thanks again for y...

Re: 2 different GPUs waiting for assignment
So for the HP Omen Obelisk workstation, it looks like installing a new NVIDIA driver fixed the problem. Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions! If there's any online doc for configuring the second GPU using FAHControl for my laptop, I'd love to read up to be sure I'm getting it done correc...

Re: 2 different GPUs waiting for assignment
Hi Bruce! The Omen Obelisk has only 1 GPU, a GeForce GTX 1660, which it lists in the web client, so I don't think there's any switching going on. I have not tried re-installing the nvidia driver there and rebooting yet, which will be my next attempt to debug the HP Obelisk. If I track the log as soo...

Re: 2 different GPUs waiting for assignment
Hi Neil-B and Bollix47, Thank you both for the quick responses. Actually, they are not both laptops. One is a laptop, the other is an HP Omen Obelisk workstation. The omen obelisk does see the NVidia GeForce GTX 1660 card, it's just not using it. For the Aleinware laptop I will try to pause the iGPU...

Re: 2 different GPUs waiting for assignment
Hi Bollix47, Thanks for your quick response. I installed a new nvidia driver and restarted my system for the Alienware laptop. I noticed in the control panel after the restart, that even though I have 2 gpus on this laptop, the one listed in the control panel is the gpu:0:Gen9p5/GT2 [UHD Graphics 63...

2 different GPUs waiting for assignment
Hi Folks, I'm relatively new to FAH, but I bought a new computer primarily for folding, and I have 4 other computers in house running the client as well. Two of the computers (including the new one) have been folding fine on both CPU and GPU, but recently both of them have stopped using the GPU to f...
