Re: Unable to upload to server 66.170.111.50
That's good to hear, my stuck WU {17415 (0, 14, 558)} for this server is on attempt 17 so far. The expiration is tomorrow at 13:24 UTC. I'm curious, the Work Server is 66.170.111.50, but my FAH Client reports the Collection Server is 0.0.0.0, not an actual IPv4 address like my other WUs currently be...

Re: Version for MacOS with Apple M1 processor?
Since the M1 has four high-speed Cores and 4 low-power cores, how would that impact inter-process communications between the CPU Core threads? Would that cause time-outs in processing, or does Rosetta 2 hide those details from the program being run?

Re: Security Certificate for foldingforum.org
Yeah, Safari was really concerned that I was going to compromise myself by continuing to this site. I’m glad to hear that it’s being addressed.

Re: Cost Benefits to Environment on Old Hardware
I recently had to do a cost benefit analysis when the power supply on my 2006 Mac Pro finally packed it in after 13-1/2 years of continuous Folding (down for power outages, updates, new GPU updates, etc., but running the rest of the time). I looked at “new” hardware, but like others pointed out, pay...

Re: Azure servers down 40.121.152.108 / 52.224.109.74
I heard reports of a CloudFlare outage July 17th. https://blog.cloudflare.com/cloudflare- ... y-17-2020/ Outage was 20:25 UTC through 22:10. The last contact with four of the Azure cloud servers was about two hours before this. Depending on how often the sanity check is performed, is this a possible...

Re: Large number of servers down
The UV index must be 10 because there isn't a working Cloud in the Azure Sky…
(sorry)
Glad to see someone is working on this. So far I have just the one WU trying to upload.

Re: Slow uploads to 140.163.4.241
Rafal has set up another server (140.163.4.231) with Coronavirus-related projects to help balance the load. I have been able to get work, but when my Folding Client attempts to upload to 140.163.4.231, it get so far and the server says, "PLEASE_WAIT (464)": *******************************...

Re: Core 22 on Advanced

How will Patches for Meltdown and Spectre Affect Folding?
I came to the Forum to see if anyone had any results for their Folding rigs running a patched version of Windows or using the latest NVIDIA drivers due to the Meltdown and Spectre exploits. I guess most people who are serious are running dedicated machine(s) that are not used for general purpose com...

Re: Stats not updating?
I thought I was the only one that noticed. I just posted a question in the Planned Downtime thread since I thought it could be related.road-runner wrote:Stats down or EOC server?
The Stanford Stats are returning "Internal Server Error" when you try to pull up your stats.

Rejection due to transmission failure? [WS 128.252.203.4]
I guess you can add me to the list. I thought it might be an issue with the server (128.252.203.4 which doesn't appear on the FAH Servers Status Page, BTW) and this all started when my iMac tried uploading a Project 13804 WU: *********************** Log Started 2017-05-21T05:48:03Z *****************...

Re: Nvidia Titan Xp
Both of the projects are running on the same card. In this machine, one x16 3.0 slot is dedicated to one E5 processor. The other E5 has the other x16 v3.0 slot and a couple other smaller unused slots. Here's something I wonder about. How efficient is cross-traffic between CPU cores in one processor...

Re: Dual Nvidia/Radeon Setup with an issue...
It's been awhile since I Folded with an AMD card, but if I remember, the CPU requirements for the AMD card are nothing (a few percent of a core) compared to the NVIDIA card (close to 100%). You might need to knock your CPU down to use 6 cores in the CPU slot (if you have one). Others with more exper...
