Re: future core 17 WU?
When was the last time a p8018 was downloaded? There was a note a few hours ago that they changed something this afternoon. Please restart one of the clients and post the first few pages of the log. Restart the client with out deleting any WU, and post the first few pages of the log and see if he c...

Re: Number of active folders going down?
If you want to know if there are more or less people folding. Would it not be better to count the names of actual people folding, and not core count or FLOPS? You can have less people folding and have higher core count or more FLOPS depending on what systems they bring online. What number of actual ...

Re: Change in BA requirements
I hope they also said "We installed separate electric meters on the systems folding so we don't deduct that electric cost from our taxes by mistake"
Since that electric is not tax deductible, we would not any trouble with the IRS. Sure they did.

Re: Change in BA requirements
What would be the sense of keeping it at 24 cores and then tighten the return time so they don't make it?
I think they will make the slowest ones just make it and tweek the QRB for BA and SMP.
That would make sense.

Re: Change in BA requirements
We'll see how it ends up , it is still over 16 months until that BA-stop date! unsure of how long I still participate in the big picture beyond the summer. January 31 2015, is only 12 months and 16 days away from today, not 16 months is it not? Still all in all, if the PPD for SMP after 1/31/15 is ...

Re: Change in BA requirements
Until we know what the deadline is it's all up in the air. Today the slowest AMD 4P 24 core will not make deadline on the 8101 WU. We do not know if the slowest AMD 32 core 4P cores will make the deadline. An Intel 2P 16/32 with turbo and some OC may make it. We know switching a 24, 48 or 64 core se...

Team owners, players, coaches, team captains, oarsmen and a cox that doesn't know what way to go. Plus a few mad men in the mix too. High HP motors, cars and trucks, Chevy Novas and Ferraris races. I think we even had a light at the end of the tunnel, but it was a train. Very interesting thread to s...

Re: Change in BA requirements
Yup. There's another quote that clearly shows where Folding@Home's special spot for donors is: If we had the funds to build what they (Facebook and Google -- ed.) do, we wouldn't be running a volunteer distributed computing project, but just computing directly on that infrastructure, as we have don...

Re: Change in BA requirements
You know a lot of this animosity and back and forth could be ended very easily. All that has to happen is some one in authority from PG needs to step up and say why they changed the BA like they did and what they are considering to do about the other donor issues that have been raised here. Then gi...

Don't you guys feel like you are talking to the wall? This is like politics and religion, you are not going to convince the other person to come to your point of view. All I see now is blah blah blah blah. oh yeah well blah blah blah to you too. Why not turn off your computer, go get a cold tasty be...

This is a cellular protein research project. It needs to be lead by protein research scientists. Doesn't that make sense?
Short answer is NO.
There is no I in team and it has to be a team effort.
And I am not a NFL player making 10,000,000$ a year.
