Re: Project 18251 very low PPD on RTX 2060s

Wow.... I'm not the only one! From what I understand in Discord, it's a strange project that didn't scale well with larger GPU's, thus the assignment. But I've run into the same issue on my 1660 Super, but only on later projects. My earlier runs gave full points, in my case 1.2-1.4M if I recall corr...

If your username is unique you don't need to enter a pass key to find out bonus status.

And if your system is stable, the percentage of completed work units versus uncompleted will be a higher percentage.

Re: prjectID 16525 7 hrs then had total 12 1/2 complete

You can check for completion of any work unit you have the PRCG for. You can get this from the logs or HFM if it logged the work unit. I *think* HFM requires a return to the server, and if the system crashes in a way where it doesn't return the work unit doesn't log. But you can also check PRCG in y...

Re: prjectID 16525 7 hrs then had total 12 1/2 complete

The project crashed multiple times and failed. Though it can happen to anyone at times, it's often an indication of unstable hardware or software. In this case the next person completed it, which once again points to some type of instabllity on your system. https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu#project=...

Re: Corrupted / bad job 18237/1069/0/71 (failing for all users)

Hi Paul, It's a brand new card and, again, it's only for this particular project, I would be more hardware-focused if it happened with the 16 other projects I am currently being assigned ? It only happens with this one. Regarding Core24, it runs without any error on all P18230 WUs received so far, ...

Re: Deadline too short for integrated GPU

Attempts are made to assign work units that will complete, and usually don't require folding 24/7, but at times errors are made. But looking up this project at https://folding.lar.systems/projects/folding_profile/12701 it shows that class of iGPU only taking a bit over 5 hours on that project. Is it...

Re: PS3EdOlkkola's Passing

Though I never interacted with him while he was around, I just recently passed his position on the default team. I had seen his massive contributions on the Curecoin team in the past, but until recently never realized he also folded for the default team for a while, and racked up another 700M + poin...

Re: Which fan settings for 5700XT

That depends on case size, system fans, airflow, etc.... as well as how much heat your GPU makes at your power settings. I often bump the stock fan curves a bit on my GPU, as I like to keep it running cooler since it folds 24/7. Since I usually run power limited I can easily keep temps down below ab...

Thanks for the reply.

I've found a 16770 (37,0,178) that doesn't show up as well.

I can wait on or lose a few points... I mean points are points. But I'm wondering if the next work unit assigns in a case such as this?

Your UPS should not sound an alarm when plugged in and turned on, except for possibly some short beeps when first turned on during the self test. If it does it usually indicates some type of fault, often a battery that is no longer charging properly. You can check out the specific alarm functions by...

Re: Regulating GeForce RTX 2060 Super Load

I'll add to the above that if your GPU is overheating ever you should be looking at the fan curves, both for the GPU and system fans. Removing heat is key, and even at reduced power levels gpus create heat. The suggested MSI Afterburner app will allow you to set curves for your GPU. System fans are ...

Re: 18237 crashes on E5-2640 V3 and rtx 3080

Are you failing or getting errors on all Ox24 projects? If so, have you tried any type of troubleshooting such as shutting down the client and core and rebooting the system? Occasionally a specific work unit will fail even on a stable system. If you aren't seeing any kind of trend or multiple failed...

At this point it might be worth waiting to see if the release of Blackwell GPU's triggers some price drops on the 4000 Series. Or some Black Friday deals at least.

Re: Donr Statistics - Credits missing

Are you speaking of the credits you see when you have the software open? Credits vary project to project and are based on expected time to finish such a project. While you are folding it will show you estimated credits based on your computer's progress. If the system isn't folding credit will show z...
