Re: project status suggestion
if I knew the WU i had was clearly marked for beta, I would know that any concerns about it is to be placed in the beta forum. really simple for me to click on the project number in the v7 app and get to the project info page. I am well aware that if i have client-type=beta, that I'm likely to have ...

project status suggestion
It could be really helpful if the project description webpage would tell the status of a WU, like wether it is in beta or advanced.

Re: Advertising Campaign
Last I checked, it wasn't really that expensive to advertise. It just needs to be seeded with the right people you want to advertise to. We have to find out what Potential folding@home users will be searching for on google -- what queries would the typical folding@home user make on google? Oh, well ...

map of genes in the brain?
I noticed this project funded by Paul Allen the other day. It is supposed to provide a very detailed map of what the human brain is composed on through all regions. Maybe this could be of use to the science guys at the F@H project. http://science.slashdot.org/story/11/04/13/2159241/Scientists-Unveil...

Re: FAH on mobile devices [Not]
how would you feel if FAH ran your batteries down in an hour and you couldn't use your hardware? I would cry a river to pande group over something I opted in to knowing full well what I'm doing. there are ways to program an app to limit itself around battery level. putting the time into a select fe...

Re: FAH on mobile devices [Not]
The point is that ARM may be making its way into the Desktop market. nvidia has expressed an interest in producing its own ARM-based cpu, which they are working with Microsoft on. I think its safe to say that nvidia has all the right tools to do this. They got the gpu, the chipset and now the cpu. i...

Re: FAH on mobile devices [Not]
Oh, I'm not really concerned about the mobile aspect as much as I was about supporting ARM in general. Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see if ARM will really make a dent in the market, and then get Pande group to think about it again when that time comes.

Re: 256 core server courtesy of IBM
these websites that benchmark hardware with various games and software should try to include some rough folding@home measurements in the future. I am a little disappointed to not see such a test when reading the magazines or their online articles.
