This resulted in a black screen :e( , but apparently everything started up normally since I was able to ssh in... just the video wasn't working. This may be one of the side-effects of doing OpenCL calculations on my only video card, but not sure about that. ... did you have a Linux kernel update in...

I'm wondering why it's identified as Vega 10. That is usually the more powerful dedicated GPU's from AMD. Answered in my post above - posting.php?mode=quote&f=83&p=336782#pr336578 - detected by Device ID assigned by AMD. They reuse the same ID number for multiple GPUs based on the same chip...
