Just to update.. I upgraded the CPU, now all 4 GPUs are being used at 100% each... This completes the build of my system.

I do have a question though. and that is why are NVIDIA GPUs polled and not interrupt driven? Am I to believe that NVIDIA does not know how to build GPUs with interrupt capability? Or write their SDK to sleep for an interrupt? So whats the real story here...? I do not have the answer, but I do have...

Could you post you log including the top 100 lines or so with the configuration details - It may help identify what is happening. A number of factors that might be playing into this include the OS, AMD or Nvidia, Age of GPUs, various configuration settings - once a clearer picture of what you setup...

I had 3 GPUs in a system with a 2 core Celeron CPU... It had reasonable performance. I just added a 4th GPU and now all the GPU's are lucky to get slightly above 50% utilization. I thought the CPU thread per core should not be doing much actual work , but is it the case I need a full CPU core per GP...

it makes sense it would not update the core until the other work units complete...
ah but I did pause everthing, they all went to update_core.. then unpausing it updated, then they all started running again.

That's weird! core22 0.0.5 was released to full FAH a week ago. You should be able to pick it up without problems. Can you try deleting your core and work directories and seeing if that picks up the new core? If not, we'll investigate ASAP! ~ John Chodera // MSKCC I'll do that as soon as my other 2...

You usually don't need to install an additional driver. 1 driver should recognize all compatible GPUs.

yes it's just the one driver but I had to install it on the new card.. it didn't go automatically when I plugged it in an booted it up.

did that version just come out? I set the first gpu up with a fresh FAH Monday this last week... I see now there is a new version

I have additional information... If I look in the task manager.. it is actually the second gpu, the 1050 that is running the job that FAH thinks is running on the 1070. So it looks like some confusion due to the default setup of the slots... So do I need to adjust the cuda and opencl slot indexes? T...
