I saw the jump from x8 to x16 as the more important jump than from PCI-E 3.0 to 4.0 When we get PCI-E 4.0 video cards, that will be yet another jump for newer AMD motherboards. Parallels does not pass-through the GPU hardware to the guest OS, so it will not work with the Windows guest operating system.

If you really want to use your Mac hardware you have to run Window or Linux natively.
