Re: how about enabling TLS on your Assignment Servers?

Not to mention the cipher settings required to configure ssl/tls on the edge to support all the different versions of operating systems/browsers out there, may indeed defeat the purpose of enabling secure protocols in the first place seeing that there are vulnerabilities available for most security ...

Re: How exactly are new WUs generated?

Thanks @Joe_H, I didn't know the process of how these are generated, now I see where the PRCG acronym comes from.

I just want to add that I've got one of these too. Been in the queue to upload for a couple days now. Hopefully they sort it soon before the wu time limit is reached. 09:01:36:WU00:Sending unit results: id:00 state:SEND error:NO_ERROR project:11758 run:0 clone:110 gen:0 core:0x22 unit:0x000000069bf7...

Re: Trying to help, but ...

Because of the influx of more people attempting to help, the folding at home servers have been drained of all the work units fairly quickly. The error you are seeing above just means that they need to generate more work units for us to download and work on. If you leave the client running it will ev...

Re: Trouble installing on Ubuntu & some other issues

Hmm, I wonder if the client is unable to use the installed cuda/ocl libraries, but, you say the client is working on some of your other systems, are these other systems running the same version of ubuntu as the one you're having issues with?

Re: Trouble installing on Ubuntu & some other issues

Does the "assorted information" show that it detects 2 cuda gpu's and 2 opencl gpu's? Something like this: CUDA Device 0: Platform:0 Device:0 Bus:1 Slot:0 Compute:6.1 Driver:10.0 CUDA Device 1: Platform:0 Device:1 Bus:11 Slot:0 Compute:6.1 Driver:10.0 CUDA Device 2: Platform:0 Device:2 Bus...

Re: Trouble installing on Ubuntu & some other issues

I wonder if their servers are still being overloaded with the influx of new donars, they are working on correcting the issue, but your client on that system should keep trying. As for it not detecting your gpu's, i'm assuming you've tried to stop the client and restart it. I can see that it's detect...

Re: Trouble installing on Ubuntu & some other issues

Hi, The post here is for configuring the fah client from cli, see if you can get it started from cli following those steps. The post is for arch linux, but the configuration for fah client config is the same. I'm not sure of the gui client issue on ubuntu, but you may be able to get it configured th...

Re: GPU index, two GTX 1070

Try to go to the FAH Advanced Client then go to Configure->Slots, then remove your cpu/gpu's that you have there, then try to manually add your gpu's back in, keep the gpu-index, opencl-index, cusa-index values at -1 initially and see if that sorts it. Add 1 gpu at a time first to see it you can get...

Re: Need a little help configuring for remote clients.

Have you configured your systems for remote access with/without a password, and, have you setup your systems with remote acl's? Have a look in the FAH Advanced client on your systems you want to manager under Configure->Remote Access and double check the settings there, I suspect something there is ...
