Re: AMD dropping OpenCL support?
Just as light reading ... https://techxplore.com/news/2021-04-open-source-gpu-technology-supercomputers.html ... https://github.com/openmm/openmm/pull/3338 ... I guess once AMD HIP is fully incorporated into OpenMM then this will then be a possibility for FaH - but from what I understand it will be...

Re: New Radeon drivers - 21.10.1 - performance still seems b
@muziqaz: I know, it is also in my benchmarks
Just wondering if FAH will now use the converter AMD is providing (gonna try it out myself in a few days when I have time) to convert their CUDA code to AMD HIP code?
Might be easy and should give a nice speedup.
But let's see if they go that way :/

Re: New Radeon drivers - 21.10.1 - performance still seems b
I do report this with every new WHQL driver after 21.3.2 (after testing with FAH Bench ofc). I'd love to upload a screenshot of my benchmarks, but as I cannot attach anything, I will just link it: https://www.computerbase.de/forum/threa ... t-26249321 OpenCL performance is horrible with the current ...

Re: AMD dropping OpenCL support?
I guess you might be right, let me check this again. But from my side the even more important question (since OpenCL performance on AMD is very unreliable) : Are there plans for an AMD HIP migration? This should deliver more performance on the same hardware (and hopefully more CONSTANT performance t...

Re: AMD dropping OpenCL support?
With the RadeonPro 21.40 Beta driver AMD now confirmed that OpenCL will be dropped in favor of HIP.
21.40. does no longer include OpenCL. (see gpuopen.com)

Re: New Radeon drivers - 21.10.1 - performance still seems b
Same problem here: Every driver after 21.3.2 has a very poor OpenCL performance (6900XT here). BOINC Projects are also slowed down. As soon as I go back to 21.3.2 everything is fine. I recommend to also report this via the feedback button in the driver menu to AMD. is there any offical person from ...

Re: Very low download speed
Same issue for me, but even better: at 99,X percent it stops and doesn't finish. Is there any possibility to install the new Core_22 manually? With a browser I can perfectly download it from http://cores.foldingathome.org/win/64bit/22-0.0.13/Core_22.fah. So there is no firewall etc blocking it. CPU ...
