Re: [UPDATE: KB4467708 is to blame] F@h crashes after 30 sec
Fixed it !!! By installing the modern DCH Intel graphics driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28139/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10?product=80939 Folding is now running for 15 minutes without any crash, still doing ~170K PPD. It seems that ever since that KB4467708 update it requir...

Re: [UPDATE: KB4467708 is to blame] F@h crashes after 30 sec
Perfect, now the crashes show in event viewer. And it's weird. It blames the crash on the OpenGL drivers of both nvidia and intel (nvopencl and igdrcl). Folding client log still doesn't show anything. @toTOW and @bruce you're right, but simple driver reinstalls/updates didn't do it. What to do from ...

Re: [UPDATE: KB4467708 is to blame] F@h crashes after 30 sec
Hello, I return after a while. It still doesn't work, 2 cumulative updates and a clean reinstall of the latest nVidia driver later. Also uninstalled Vulkan runtime to try and force OpenGL. I even reset the folding core and work units. I suspect another reinstall of Windows will be a waste of time. A...

Re: [UPDATE: KB4467708 is to blame] F@h crashes after 30 sec
KB4467708 actually got installed first, KB4464455 being listed as security update in my PC after removing it, it has a similar changelog:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... -kb4467708
This one's absolutely to blame. After another restart it got put back indefinitely.

Re: [UPDATE: KB4467708 is to blame] F@h crashes after 30 sec
BIG UPDATE!!!!!!!! the KB4467708(+KB4464455) update is causing these crashes, as soon as it updated the crashes returned. I uninstalled the update and now it's stable again. Where to report this? Edit: Crap, right after another restart Windows automatically installed KB4464455, which cannnot be unin...

Re: (Solved) F@h crashes after 30 seconds
Yeah just like with other things related to Windows, I had to reinstall Windows :) but this time using the "mainstream" Pro version instead of Enterprise. Now folding is rock stable. Thanks everyone! What the problem apparently was is a combination of firewall rules being broken and Enterp...

Re: F@h crashes after 30 seconds
I'm not using any security software, Windows Defender is also disabled because sometimes it's a little too paranoid : - ) Windows Reliability Monitor just listed drivers, nothing linked to apps. But indeed, it looks like it gets killed. I tried things like messing around with priority and process se...

Re: F@h crashes after 30 seconds
Hmm actually that was the GPU core consuming 25% cpu... Kinda high I think. Here's a video, I tried first with GPU only then with CPU only, all settings default. Hope the Threads bar in processhacker was saying something. While the GPU temps were OK, the CPU did hover around 80 C, but there was no t...

Re: F@h crashes after 30 seconds
Okay that's a little weird. I tried disabling one of each slot (only cpu and only gpu), still crashes after that amount of time. But for whatever reason the fahcore still remains on until I kill it: https://ctrlv.cz/tJEP All temps are under 75 C all of the time. I tried selecting only 1 cpu thread, ...

[FIXED:Install Intel DCH driver]F@h crashes after 30 seconds
Hello everyone. I'll explain everything as simple as possible: Folding starts, fetches everything OK, CPU works, GPU works, but after that, 30 seconds on, the folding client crashes. Specs: Dell Inspiron laptop with i5 7300HQ and GTX 1050 Ti. Using 7.5.1. Windows 10 Enterprise 1809 (might be a probl...
