Re: Project download issues

One thing I've been able to determine for sure is this is not a networking issue on my end. I can open (a few) ports against these servers even while the client is failing. There is no interruption to a ping either. Also it takes about 12 minutes to download 5 megabytes. Seems like there is somethin...

Re: Project download issues

Thanks for the info. This system is hard wired but I have a NAS unit on the network so it could've been congestion. I'll check into the tcpview tool.

Project download issues

This has happened more than once now and so I'm posting to see if there might be a known issue. Just for background, my fans run hard when folding, so when I hear them spin down for more than a minute, I check what is going on. What is happening lately is a project gets finished, then the client goe...

Re: 511.23 a bad driver?

I don't know what other people do but I use the studio drivers for Win 10, for a number of reasons. I have had a couple of runs with low PPD but they ended up aborting (I posted this to a different thread but the tail end of the log is below. I'd check for this in case it's the same thing but I noti...

Re: core22 0.0.10 released to full FAH!

Seeing the same here During the period between the watchdog trigger and the hard shutdown I noticed the GPU was running at a high clock rate but at a very low temperature, and the folds were completing in about 40 seconds. This is not normal and with a working WU the clock rate is about 2 - 2.5% slo...

Re: RTX 3080 vx RX 6900XT vs RTX3090

I'd be interested to know who out there is running at about a 20M PPD level and what hardware it takes to do that. Or frankly anyone > 5M PPD, what are hardware combinations that are known working for 8, 10, 12, 15, or 20M PPD ? I see some people getting those kinds of numbers and I'm not sure if i...

Re: RTX 3080 vx RX 6900XT vs RTX3090

@foldy - where are you getting the PPD numbers ? I"m doing about 4M PPD (total 5.5M but that includes multicore CPUs) on my 2080Ti. It IS overclocked tho, to about 1980 MHz. I'd be interested to know who out there is running at about a 20M PPD level and what hardware it takes to do that. Or fra...

Issues with multisocket system

Hi all, So I've read here that up to 32 threads per WU is supported. However I have a bit of an issue. I have a system with 2 sockets. Each socket has a 22 core CPU. Now if I create two slots, each with 32 threads, they both start on CPU 1 and nothing is running on CPU 0. Any idea what is going on w...

Looks from that like a pair of 5700s should really cook.

Re: Not getting any WU

So I have a 2080 Ti but I notice my system is busy anywhere from 0 to 30% of the time. Also it seems sometimes I will not get any WU unless I reboot. This is new behavior since the WU shortage. Is there anything specific I can check ? I've considered reinstalling the client. Previous daily averages ...

Re: Connection problem 18.218.241.186 & 155.247.164.214

Funny fact is that some donors like Default (Team 0) and CoreWeave doesn't seem to have any problems at all getting new WUs while others sometimes wait for hours to get one. Coreweave donated 6000 gou's to the so they should be doing 16-18k WU a day, they did 4.4k yesterday so even they are sufferi...

Re: Processing WU but cannot upload

The issue might also be related to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=32497&start=15 Specifically WU 11758, as well as a couple of other WUs, have failed to upload to servers .213 and .214 for a few days now. Project managers have been notified though. Ok thanks for the tip. This seems like ...

Processing WU but cannot upload

So, I read the "Do this first" article and I noticed something odd. My client is trying to upload to 155.247.164.214, but this server seems to be in Assign status not Accept status. 17:32:54:WU01:FS01:Uploading 55.24MiB to 155.247.164.214 17:32:54:WU01:FS01:Connecting to 155.247.164.214:80...

Re: out of work?????

Contacting Bill Gates is a very good idea. It's possible he would assign someone and it just gets done. FWIW I am a Principal Systems Architect with a rather large service provider so if there's any volunteer-ship along those lines needed I'm here :) I don't know what servers you're using but I have...
