ok, I went with option 2, and installed the beta version. I did not have to fiddle with any parameters, it found things on its own.
For now it is running something under cpu7.
Computer running a full tilt, I7, Geforce GTX graphics 1060

Yes window 10 performed update, now I have a new problem I think. I have folding slots 00 cpu 7 ready but appears to not be doing anything. 01 gpu 06 showing running. no status is showing for 00 cpu 7. status 01 showing bar and advancing. 02 showing Unknown, and nothing happening. so my uneducated g...

Control used to recognize GPU now it does not recognize it exists.

Possible problems since windows update. Any advice to reset, or fix.
