I am asking about desktop client (fah-installer_7.5.1_x86.exe), not NaCl (Chrome) client.
I am not using Chrome browser.

Intel Kaby Lake Pentium CPU
My question is about the Pentium G4560 CPU. It has 2 cores and 4 threads. How much PPD can it give when CPU folding only (no GPU folding at all). Please mention the operating system (Windows version, 32 or 64 bit, etc.), and system configuration (how much RAM etc.) if possible. I've tried searching ...

Re: GTX 260
The last GPU folding core that could be run on a GTX 260 or other pre-Fermi GPU was officially retired last year - https://folding.stanford.edu/home/retir ... ay-to-fah/. For all practical reasons, even though some of the 400 and 500 series GPU's can still fold, I would suggest looking for at least...

Re: Is Core 15 still active?
I'm getting the message Empty work server assignment which meeans there are no Work Servers which can supply the type of WU you're seeking. I suspect that they've finally finished all the projects that use Core_15, so in essence, those ancient GPUs should be listed as "unsupported" Thanks...

Re: Is Core 15 still active?
Core 15 worked for a short while on v7, then stopped working again.
Not able to get a Core 15 WU.
Under work queue in FAHControl, the status for the GPU keeps stating download but no work gets downloaded.

Re: Is Core 15 still active?
The V6 GPU systray client is still unable to download work, even after setting small WU size and -betateam . :( Tried the V7 client, Core 15 GPU folding works. But V7 service installation and GPU folding do not go together. Do you have your client configured with the max-packet size set to small and...

Is Core 15 still active?
Earlier this month, Core 15 WUs could be downloaded and processed. But now, the FAH systray (version 6.41r2) client keeps saying Attempting to get work packet . When will Core 15 WUs become available for download again? Or has Core 15 been deprecated for good? (I've read about Core 15 WUs going to b...

How much F@H performance gain will using a SSD offer?
I know a SSD does not directly contribute computational performance to F@H.
I just know that a SSD is much faster than a HDD, and F@H reads and writes to the disk.
My question is: How much F@H performance gain will there be if I upgrade from a HDD to SSD?

Re: V6 SMP client problem
I didn't know there were limits as to which projects V6 could do. Looks like I'll carry on using V7 for SMP folding. After the V6 SMP client couldn't get new work, I tried Boinc Rosetta@Home for a few days, then tried Folding@Home V7. From my experience so far, the RAM requirements for the latter ar...

It has been unable to get any work. What is wrong? The following gets displayed: ... Re: Is Core 15 still ongoing or not? (solved)
I managed to get my Windows V6 GPU systray client to get Core 15 (and not Core 21) workunits again. I don't think you can restrict the assignment on v6 clients. On v7, setting two flags on the GPU slot will do it: client-type=beta and max-packet-size=small (this assigns Core15 WUs for cards that can...

Is Core 15 still ongoing or not? (solved)
I read that Core 15 reached end-of-life more than a year ago. But Core 15 workunits continued to be sent out until recently. (I'm still using the 6.41 GPU folding client for Windows) The V6 GPU folding client now keeps trying to get Core 21 instead of Core 15 workunits. Is this normal? Is Core 15 st...
