Re: Empty work server assignment:
This will most definitely not become a requirement, but it will continue to be an option that you can choose. Every new project is tested and goes through a series of progressively relaxed restrictions. Beta is reserved for projects with a high degree of risk of failures. Once that is completed, th...

Re: Empty work server assignment:
I've set up the other two Macs as client-type: advanced and they started folding (a MBP and a retina iMac). I've now reinstalled FaH on my old MacPro, and that seems to be folding again as well. So I'm not sure what that was about. If client-type: advanced has suddenly become a requirement, I strong...

Re: Empty work server assignment:
I tried reading the Configuration Guide page linked above. I didn't understand a word of it. Does this mean my folding days are over? UPDATE OK, I worked out how to add client-type: advanced. It looks like it has made zero difference: 02:50:21:Saving configuration to config.xml 02:50:21:<config> 02:...

Empty work server assignment:
I have three Macs that have been folding forever. Re: Crashes: Project: 7600 (Run 18, Clone 19, Gen 19)
And that link relates to my crash in what way, exactly? Your search was for "returned: FAILED_1 (0 = 0x0)", which is a generic error message. Not surprising that it comes up with an unrelated post. My log shows no locked database messages. The key message is "WARNING: FahCore was kill...

Crashes: Project: 7600 (Run 18, Clone 19, Gen 19)
For information. This WU crashed my FaH system three times before being aborted. I'm running the v7 beta on a 1st generation quad core MacPro. Re: 171.64.65.56 - 503 Message
I don't know if this message , or this one relate. They indicate that a network problem was fixed this morning. However, I'm still seeing failures to connect to upload a finished work unit. Re: 171.64.65.54 overloaded / NOT accepting
Thanks for the reassurance. My concern was that I hadn't seen anyone else report a complete lack of credit for a submitted unit, so I was concerned that the unit might have been lost forever. However, interestingly, it has just been credited in EOC's stats, so I guess I posted my bump too soon.

Re: 6013 (Run 0, Clone 53, Gen 157)
I received this unit last night. When I checked F@H today I found that it was taking 90 minutes per %. Checking the bonus calculator, this was forecast to complete in six days, against a final deadline of three days. Not good. I tried restarting F@H, and restarting my Mac, but performance remained p...
