Re: 9401 fails on 750ti
Jim, I haven't run my patches yet and I see an NVidia optional patch sitting there. It might be an old one that I never applied since it says it's release date was Oct 2013. Do you see an "Optional" driver update on one of the systems that you haven't patched? I have it as optionally avai...

Re: 9401 fails on 750ti
Okay, wasn't KB2909921 (IE 10 Cumulative update). Just installed that one and rebooted. Still folds. You sure they didn't add a driver when you weren't looking? ;) I wouldn't put trying past them, but I didn't see anything in the list of offerings which looked like a GPU driver update and I didn't ...

Re: 9401 fails on 750ti
If you ran the Feb 12 Windows updates, uninstall them. Core 17 units started failing after I installed them, and since uninstalling them I've got to 66% of a core 17 WU with no instability and stable frame times.

Re: 8018 frame times?
There's nothing inherently wrong with a frame time of an hour (provided it has a Preferred Deadline exceeding 4 days. We've had a good number of projects with very short deadlines and a good number with significantly longer frame-times. [And, of course it depends on the speed of you hardware.] As a...

Re: Bad WU: Project: 9401 (214,0,14) and (1213,0,1)
One thing I noticed is that the Windows updates from a week or two ago, applied to one computer out of four, have made it unable to run core 17 WUs where it could before. Core 15 WUs still run, and I've seen that the GPU is solid.

Re: 8018 frame times?
To bring up a different issue with 8018, it is a surprise to anyone to see some really long (15x normal) frame times? On a GTX670 they're normally about four minutes but on the last run (which finished ok) I saw a couple run to an hour or so. I'm not troubled, just curious if this happens to anyone ...

Re: I am having rampant failures with the newest NVIDIA driv
One thing I've noticed is that one computer out of four here has the latest batch of Windows updates, and GPU folding has come up unstable on two different cards both known to be reliable; that isn't the end-all and be-all but it is distinct.

Re: 9401 - Bad state detected
As a postscript this GPU has demonstrated instability on P8900 WUs also; any criticism of P9401 should be considered in that context.

Re: Small but mighty?
Like he said, two six-pin PCI-e connectors is a limit, but that still gets you at least a GTX660. Interesting idea if it works.

Re: 9401 - Bad state detected
So far it's been a one-of incident, on a unit I haven't seen much before; HFM didn't keep it in the log and I don't have any more running. If it happens again I'll pass it up, but I have no reason to think anything is wrong on my end. The card off the top of my head isn't one of the factory overcloc...

Thanks, I figured it was something like this. If it goes sideways I'll report, but otherwise I see no reason to worry about it.

9401 - Bad state detected
Hi, I didn't see anything else in the thread on it while the project was in beta, but I got this: 02:01:41:WU00:FS01:Connecting to assign-GPU.stanford.edu:80 02:01:53:WU00:FS01:News: Welcome to Folding@Home 02:01:53:WU00:FS01:Assigned to work server 171.67.108.31 02:01:53:WU00:FS01:Requesting new wo...
