To be clear about this, the lie is the description, not the gpu number. Both cards were present when the app was installed. Found another lie. Installed app on laptop, it wrongly reports that the gpu is a GT 555M where as in reality it is a GT 540M. I will try using the index values for the 470 &...

Well this is annoying. I have 2 GPU slots. Both have the triple -1 settings. FAHControl provides a description for each slot which states which gpu it is. It is WRONG. I have 2 different GPUs. 470 & 760. FAHControl shows them as GK104 [GeForce GTX 760] & GK100 [GeForce GTX 470] Both GPU paus...

Think I worked out why the 760 folding froze up.
Just ran it with psensor running - at 86 degrees cent. I paused it.
Looks like I just tried to fry my 760.

I will have to mod the case to draw out the heat from the 760 exhaust fan before I try folding with it again.

GPU index 0 is the 760 card. index 1 is the 470. How do I know ? Because FAHControl told me when I entered those values previously.

Whilst trying to find the place where I am sure I saw ... which version of drivers where being used ... in a gui, I ran into update manager. it tells me there are two level 3 updates, sorry upgrades package ............. new version ............ old version nvidia-current ..... 319.37-oubuntu1 ........

You are correct, I set the lines you mention manually. I have 2 graphics cards, a 760 and a 470. I wanted to try one at a time. Therefore I created a slot for the gpu NOT connected to anything [no cables running off to monitors].
