Re: Workaround for Project Updates in HFM
That's true... it does rather assume that the announcement is accurate and complete (which it usually is).

Re: Workaround for Project Updates in HFM
You've probably done this already, but a hint for anyone using their own local file- if there are only a few new projects, rather than downloading the page and editing out all those NaN blocks it's easier to View Source in your browser and copy/paste the relevant section(s) into the existing local f...

Psummary link
Not sure this is the right section, but can't see a better one (and no, I will not raise it on the reddit). A link needs updating- on the Home => Teams and Stats page, the link to Project summary (directly from the servers, updated hourly) points to the old psummary not the current one (at the top h...

Re: Workaround for Project Updates in HFM
Good idea toTOW and thanks, but intending no disrespect I'll stick to my local file.
That way, if it isn't updated in a timely fashion I can swear all I like at the culprit without fear of repercussions

Re: Workaround for HFM
... even though the address went yellow and HFM didn't seem to like it. I didn't get that... but one thing I didn't mention was that I renamed the file to just ProjInfo.html, maybe HFM wasn't sure about the @ or the %20's in the filename? I wondered about trying to script it, but my skills in that ...

Workaround for Project Updates in HFM
I got fed up editing ProjectInfo.tab, especially when an un-noticed typo stopped HFM working! So I dreamed up a workaround which others might find useful and I'd appreciate any suggestions for improvement. Use at your own risk, but it seems OK so far. 1) In your browser open the psummary page of you...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
So unlist them- the page header says "Currently Running Projects"The problem is that the WS which show NaNs in some columns are no longer active. When we moved to the new AS it did not have data for these WS but they are still listed.

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
Have you asked about this on reddit? That's the way to contact the Pande Group. That's the best laugh I've had all week. A JSON data file can be downloaded and parsed by 3rd party software. The JSON file is comparatively new, a less high-handed approach from PG would have allowed a reasonable trans...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
Wouldn't it be much easier all round if PG just fixed the psummary pages?
As a public-facing page (even one of limited interest) it's not a very good advert.

Re: Installation on Mac OS X Yosemite: can't keep fan silent
I like Macs, I've got a couple, but I'll concede they don't like running flat out 24/7 so they're not the best folding platforms.toTOW wrote:Apple is definitely crap in my opinion : it's a PC with inflated price, and you can't even use it at full potential !

Re: Installation on Mac OS X Yosemite: can't keep fan silent
If your battery is draining while AC power is plugged in, there is probably a serious issue with the AC power adapter : either is faulty/damaged or it is undersized for your hardware ... Not true for Macbooks... the power adaptor isn't intended to be capable of running the computer at full load. It...
