Re: Web Control - Access forbidden
In case anyone looking for a solution to this has not tried the "Advanced Control" option, while the web interface is being restored, just right click the tray icon > Advanced Control - to gain access to your folding client.

Re: Taxes
This applies to a couple options that exist today. There are a couple choices that even allow you to fold for any team, and still write off both cost of "hardware deprecation" and electric costs. This page has all the sub links and us gov info to understand how this works. https://www.redd...

Re: Animal testing?
This is one of the great, unappreciated things about F@H. Everything is done via computer (aka in-silico) using accurate simulations of protein behavior. No need to randomly inject a lab animals with a needle full of compound XYZ. One of the more common ways F@H presents its usefulness is the reduct...

Re: Improbable stats ...
There was a comment on reddit about this. It seemed to imply that a stats tracking feature for mobile folding*might* be working its way onto the scene eventually... I don't think its a top priority issue, so if it happens it could be a while from now. I charged up an old phone that needs a reset / c...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
Hi harlam, are you still alive ? I heard that Google Code where you host your project is closing ... do you have a backup plan for HFM (like moving to GitHub) ? There is a simple export to github option on the google code page, I recently became a fan of this software now that im pulling about 2.2 ...

Re: [NOT] Bad WU: Project: 9704 (Run 46, Clone 14, Gen 99)
I just had a failed work unit on 9704 (Run 19, Clone 10, Gen 157) also. This is on my stock clocked dual 780 machine, one of them was paused during the folding since the heat of both cards running causes the top one to down clock, and I have yet to disable that annoying Nvidia feature. Unlike the on...

Re: Project 9208 (0, 13, 50) Bad state errors, over power li
Just fired up both gpus, have a core 18 and core 21 running, noticed this in the log. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the problem might have had something to do with this. Seems my core21.exe was outdated. Currently running 9631 (1, 4, 33) and only using 80% power draw, much better than 1...

Project 9208 (0, 13, 50) Bad state errors, over power limit
9208 (0, 13, 50) with a stock non oc GTX 780 , I noticed when the work unit fired up it was getting a massive PPD of around 294k PPD ( almost the same as my stock 980 ). I thought "Excellent, core 21 is zooming on my old 780". Not the case when I checked on it this morning. There were some...

Re: AMD Exascale APU processor
Possibly AMD's response to this ... http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/211247-obama-signs-executive-order-to-build-first-ever-exascale-supercomputer Whether or not they are trying to get that massive contract fact is, well, read above link. Now the question begs, after this beast is built, where wil...

Re: Mind Blown - Folding on a Commodore
Wow, to quote their article "The phone will feature a 1.7 GHz Mediatek 64-bit octa-core processor with ARM Mali T760 GPU and a huge 3000 mAh battery" . That's going to rival the s6 edge. Big score on the folding@home app recent upgrade. The achievement feature tied into google games points...

Re: Harmful link to F@H , likely a virus - report it!! [fix
Whoa, they act quick with a complaint. I did leave a lengthy complaint though :) . Anyways glad that's fixed. I'll try to make it a habit to search for these links that are obviously viruses once in a while and report them. Might want to have PG investigate or someone who has the time to build a cra...

Harmful link to F@H , likely a virus - report it!! [fixed]
I was just surfing around F@H videos on google, and found this http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2ie99p This link is safe to click to report the video, but I wouldn't touch the link in the comments with a 10 foot pole. It claims to be a cracked version of F@H, its most likely a virus common sense fr...

Re: AMD r9 Fury X
To save a little time for others pointing me to the maxwell issue, looks like there is some progress on maxwells viewtopic.php?f=24&t=27683 (is this the latest new though?) . Still very curious to know if anyone has an AMD fury x on the way..

AMD r9 Fury X
So, I was looking to get my hands on one of these new Fury X gpus clocking in at almost 9 teraflops if I recall, they appear to have been sold out across the board. With all the reported issues of the maxwell cards Im staying far away from those (unless of course I missed a post saying these now wor...

Re: Stats server is down, again
Gpu WU and nacl WU both updating stats fine. Looks like a small hiccup in the output of nacl users but everything appears to be buzzing along great now.
