Re: Nvidia Titan V
I just received my copy of the recently released 6th edition of Computer Architecture: A Quantitive Approach. For your information, Chapter 4 covers over 70 pages "Data-Level Parallelism in Vector, SIMD and GP Architectures". Nice writeup of the evolution since the 5th edition covered the ...

Re: Nvidia Titan V
Thanks for the dev update Bruce. Core_21 does not use CUDA, like the two GPU folding cores before (17 & 18) it uses OpenCL. So recompiling the core is not likely to help. The native instruction set is independent and "beneath" the CUDA or OpenCL layer. The table aggregates native instr...

Re: Nvidia Titan V
I don't have a Tesla V100 card to look more deeply into the TitanV lower performance versus the Tesla V100. Versus Pascal-based cards, the Volta micro architecture is sufficiently different, that some of the performance differences (or lack thereof) of the TitanV vs. 1080Ti could come from a potenti...

Re: Nvidia Titan V
Update:
Used MSI Afterburner, added 100 Mhz to Core Clock.
Now at 1537 Mhz
Unit 9431 is now at 1165k ppd
Power usage is still at 40%, GPU load 80%,
temp at 60C with 45% fan speed

Re: Nvidia Titan V
Hi there. Haven't been around for many years - too many other things in life .... :-) I got a Titan V and a 1080 Ti. Put them in one of my older folding systems and just restarted the rig to see what happens. No further optimizations, just watching. Config: Win 10 FahClient 7.4.4. Geforce Driver 388...

Re: New Asus GTX 780 Ti won't fold
It's 2am - time for bed :) A quick recap: The 200k and above WUs looked like initial edge cases. In the average the slightly overclocked Ti achieved tpfs of 1:23 (P7810) which translates into 184k ppd. The Titan in the same system and set to the same shader frequency achieved tpfs of 1:26 and 175k p...

Re: New Asus GTX 780 Ti won't fold
Please note: The card is set to +80 MHz on the shader frequency. Don't know how much is possible. A quick check with +200 MHz failed (but I don't intend to run it at that frequency) The system is currently in the basement. Ambient temp is 18 degree C. The card is permanently below 60C in a Coolermas...

Taken from the log file: complete time of 100% / 100. Entered this time into Bonus Calculatorkiore wrote:Andy, how are you calculating your PPD? 210kppd is rather nice, you have 2 completed units in 7810?

Re: New Asus GTX 780 Ti won't fold
And do please post how it goes.. Temps under load and PPD, looks like you're the first with one of these. Your gpu id has now been added server side ... please try to get an assignment again. Thanks a lot. The GTX 780 Ti is now folding. Not sure though if the card is doing its full performance yet....

New Asus GTX 780 Ti won't fold {Fixed}
Just installed a new Asus GTX 780 Ti. Was not recognised by the FAH Client (with original GPUs.txt) Updated GPUs.txt, as the device ID wasn't in the most recent file for download (device id = 10DE & 100A) FAH Client recognizes new GPU Changed client-type to advanced The second card (GTX Titan) d...

Upgrade the GPU whitelist. The GTX 780 is a new card.
