Re: So did we Help in this possible Alzheimers cure

Is there any Alzheimer's research available on FAH at this time? I have not seen any for months.....

Thanks,

John

Re: Upgrade to 7.6.3 a trainwreck

Many thanks, Zagen30. All is now clear. While my preference is for Alzheimer's tasks which I have almost exclusively been processing, I will leave the Cause Preference set to Alzheimer's and process whatever tasks arrive.

Re: Upgrade to 7.6.3 a trainwreck

OK, thanks, Joe_H:

Why do I not get Alzheimer's tasks with client-type = advanced, only project 8900 tasks? I am obviously doing something silly..... :(

Re: Used Only for cures, or ???

OK, but all processes, systems, etc. and their products are at some risk of perversion/exploitation. One takes a risk by getting out of bed, crossing the street, eating and drinking, flying in a plane, etc......Given the measures outlined by Stanford, just relax and crunch!!

But for Alzheimers you can continue folding, there is enough to crunch.
Thanks, HuntWarrior, I will continue. I will be able to crunch more once I have determined how to recover lost tasks after a Win7 update....

Re: Blog post: "Unified GPU/SMP benchmarking scheme ..."

Regardless of points, I will continue contributing to FAH 24/7. Having seen my father suffer from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's in his last years, I will keep my ugly lavender box going with two GPU, and two uniprocessor tasks, one systray and one win32-x86 task. As I learn more, I will try to maximiz...

Re: Why are you folding?

I fold on one PC 24/7 in memory of my father who suffered in his final years from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. If I can help in any way to alleviate the suffering of other Alzheimer's or Parkinson's patients and their families, I will continue folding.

Re: Blog post: "Unified GPU/SMP benchmarking scheme ..."

Hi, FAH Folks: I recently purchased a "new" PC based on an AMD A8 with HD 6500 and HD6550D GPUs for all of $158....It's an ugly light lavender colored box, but runs well. I am running this 24/7 since 22 October 2012 on FAH (two GPU tasks, one uniprocessor task and one systray task). How lo...
