OK, can you restart the core add this line to a slot in the config.xml file?
<extra-core-args v='-noclean'/>
This will keep the work directory, presumably you should have a folder like /00/01/. Look for /00/01/log.txt - its a much more detailed log, and can you post that here?

The new version is broken. Is freezes my whole system and I have to reset it! Tested on i5-3570k with onboard HD4000 and newest SDK/driver. Also the Intel typo isn't fixed in this version. Hi mrk, which drivers do you have? The HD4000 isnt' support at the moment due to driver issues. I will test on...

you need visual studio 2010 I'm wondering is this only needed for nVidia GPU's? I do not have VS2010 (or any other Visual Studio) installed on the first machine I've benched (Intel CPU and AMD GPU) and it benched the GPU fine.
