Re: Too short expiration time or too slow performance? (Core
=> Try to set CPU core count to 3 for folding. Then your GPU should be fine. It seems I has no problems with Core 21 performance. Yes, the GPU WU's calculates relatively slow but they have sufficiently longer timeout. But if you think that it can be a problem I changed my settings for the CPU slot....

Re: Too short expiration time or too slow performance? (Core
Can you please share your first 100 lines of config and system setup to confirm ? Well, if it would help there is my config.xml: <config> <!-- Folding Core --> <core-priority v='low'/> <!-- Folding Slot Configuration --> <extra-core-args v='-forceasm'/> <!-- Network --> <proxy v='72.162.36.14:8080'...

Re: Too short expiration time or too slow performance? (Core
Are you letting the WU run a few percent before checking the time remaining, FAHControl will always show a very log time to completion when it first starts a WU. IF you are still stuck please post the first 100 lines or so of your log I gave the WU's run as long as the client itself delete the WU b...

Too short expiration time or too slow performance? (Core a7)
Since there are new Core a7 based WU's I'm constantly experiencing problems with them. In most cases the WU's are computing normally and the FAHControl says that the ETA will be in 2+ days. And by appreciating the real speed of execution it seems to be true. But the timeout set on such WU is always ...

Re: Core_21 v11 (P9712) not working with Win XP 64-bit
Are you sure it's hung or just doing a lot of paging during that initial phase of processing? Initially the system jammed heavily and rattled by HDD. After the minute or more HDD became silent and the system was blocked at all. I began to believe that the case in my disk as such or in it's interfac...

Re: Core_21 v11 (P9712) not working with Win XP 64-bit
You don't mention the projects you got, 9712 is small compared to other core 21 projects. I just got one and it had 1.5GB peak and currently 377MB. Yes you're right. Today, I've got the same heavy task as before. On the same computer with 2GB RAM. And it hung of course. The bad news is that it got ...

Re: Core_21 v11 (P9712) not working with Win XP 64-bit
Hmm, at this time Core 21 peak memory consumption has dropped to about 500MB on the same PC and about to 350MB once it started. Which gave me able to continue processing. On another computer all in the same way. Looks like they are fixed it!

Re: Core_21 v11 (P9712) not working with Win XP 64-bit
What are the minimum system requirements for the Core 21? On my little PC it ate all of the 2GB system memory and then continued by inflating of the swap file until the whole system is not hung! So I can't even provide you any logs! Referring to another topic, you sure that 2GB is enough? At...

Re: Project: 8900 (Run 476, Clone 1, Gen 70)
Okay, some weeks ago I was really bored to deal with those wrong drivers and GPUs. And I...just make a little upgrade to the newer HD7790 based videocard. Now there is no jams, no troubles with the core 17. This GPU works perfect!

Re: Project: 8900 (Run 476, Clone 1, Gen 70)
Hmm, more strange things ahead! :e?: PantherX, about your "method 1", I used non-accelerated simple windows theme all the time. And with 8900 jobs processing I had terrible lags even if I trying to open windows explorer. But interestingly, when I change the theme to more advanced one with ...

Re: Project: 8900 (Run 476, Clone 1, Gen 70)
What driver version are you using? Have you tried underclocking your GPU or cleaning it out? Are the temperatures within the normal range? No underclocking or overclocking. As I mentioned above - stock frequences only! Temperature of the GPU is also within normal range (about 68°C). But about the d...

Re: Project: 8900 (Run 476, Clone 1, Gen 70)
I didn't overclock my GPU at all. It's working with a stock frequences: 775 MHz GPU, 1000 MHz VRAM. I strongly object overclocking. Stability is the first!7im wrote:18 months of folding is no guarantee the current settings will work on a new type of work unit. How much is your Radeon overclocked?
