Re: F@H Points/Progress question
Overclocking helps, but it still won't get you more than 300ppd on that WU.The calculations that Folding does are very computationally intensive because they simulate protein folding on a scale never seen before. Even on the fastest CPUs the process just takes a long time :) It's designed to be left...

Re: VMware Server Console - failed to switch to 64 bit mode
I'm not sure this is to do with your memory. I would check your BIOS settings. Your CPU needs its virtualisation features to be enabled in order to run 64-bit Linux on top of 32-bit Windows. The option you're looking to enable is 'Intel Virtualisation Technology' or similar.

Re: CoreStatus? what does it mean? [is it related to 0x12?]
Yeah... yet another 0x12 and 12 (18) last night, with no wuresults_x.dat file left to upload... another day's folding wasted. I've taken to backing up the client folder if I see the WU get to 90-95% - when it 0x12s, the WU will usually complete fine from the backup so it's not an issue intrinsic to ...

Re: CoreStatus? what does it mean? [is it related to 0x12?]
I also get CoreStatus = 12 (18) in conjunction with the 0x12 error. I've had limited success at preventing it by periodically clearing out the work folders of any stray files. It seems to prevent it about 80% of the time.
