Re: Count(ess) of Wus, February 2012
I believe I had a 100% success rate for Feb. Had my PC taking a small break from folding since then to alleviate the next electricity bill just a tiny bit. (As such March will be a bit catastrophic for me in the Wuss count heh.)

Re: Count(ess) of Wus, February 2012
Heh, looking at my EOC stats, I'm at 101 WUs for Februrary so far. At this rate I might not be the last one after all

Re: Count(ess) of Wus, February 2012
I'll gladly pass ^^ My housemates have already been suspicious of me after the last electricity bill hit them - and I only have 1 rig here. Also, my 2500K + 6870 will never keep up with the rest of the empire. I'll just fold on and mind my own business, but thanks for the contest anyway, Leader of W...

Re: Forum policy on signatures
Then again, I recognise people's replies on their sigs as well, so I don't know. I'm fine with text sigs as long as they're small and have no giant, attention-calling colourful images.

Re: FAHWatch7
Is there a way to update without having to uninstall the app first? The msi package refuses to work on an existing install, and the .exe wants to install VC++2010, which quits upon noticing a newer version on my computer. Please resolve the following: A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Red...

Re: Number cruncher charts rise of the personal computer...
The graph simply shows that what has become a rich market in IT slowly merged into two main branches: PC and Apple, since all the rest couldn't sustain itself over the years. Will that curve decline? I don't think so, at least for a long long time. At worst, it will indeed be as 7im said, there will...

Re: F@H Spy Bonuses?
I have an E6600 and a 8800GT at home, ran them for most of the winter holidays, upped my PPD by a couple 5-7k I guess, no exact figures. I shall boot it up again and check when I return home for Easter.

Re: Forum keeps logging me out
My gut feeling tells me it's IE, but maybe I'm just biased since I shunned it from the very beginning for various reasons. But I used to have that issue a lot on other websites/forums with Firefox too, and I just couldn't put my finger on what was causing those cookies to disappear. Haven't had that...

Re: Many servers are down
Servers are back up it seems, must've been something affecting a couple of server racks, maybe a power outage or something?
Anyway, thanks to whoever fixed it.

[Resolved] Many servers are down
Just now I haven't been able to submit a GPU WU and haven't been assigned any either, so I went as per usual to the Server Status page to check on the servers' health, and I am seeing that most Assignment Servers are down, as are many other work servers. http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/6290/downl...

Re: Stanford Network Issue
Hat's off to those Pande Group and Stanford sysadmin people who had to jump through hopes after the Stanford cooling system outage to get the servers cranking again and the data restored. Yeah, especially considering that they've been getting so much angst and pressure from us about our prrrrrrecio...

Re: Stanford Network Issue
Thanks for the updates Kasson and Vijay. I noticed that the recredit process has been initiated as well, but just for the record as suggested by Bruce, here's what I've crunched since the outage began: http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/5679/wus.th.jpg In text, that makes 2x 7012, 1x 7200, 1x 7611, ...

Re: WS 171.64.65.56 not accepting/assigning WUs
Well, seems a lot of servers are back to rejecting connections again, including - you guessed it - our old friend 65.56 here!
