the Bulldozer CPUs only had one FPU core for each pair of integer cores, so I would set it to only use 3 CPUs. Might make a difference to what work you get assigned.DavidCChapman wrote:I've also seen this problem, running on a 7-year-old AMD FX-6300 with 6 processors

When the article is posted, will it be visible to us all, or will it be behind a paywall?

Re: A treatment for COVID-19?
I'll believe it when I see real world results, rather than just lab results. Hope it is as good as they claim though, and is priced to be affordable everywhere, not just in rich countries (and hence encouraging new variants in poorer countries, for everyone to spend more efforts trying to combat). Re: What makes a project a "big one"?
How do I set my GPU to give preference to big wu? is it "client-type" "big"? I can't find it in the help areas or faqs

Re: Failed reading core package header - CPU core A8
Woohoo! Just seen that the core finally successfully downloaded about 45 minutes ago. I noticed it after I went to the kitchen, and noticed the sitting room is again warmer than the rest of the house

Re: Failed reading core package header - CPU core
I don't like deleting work units, but I've been trying to get a good copy of core 22 0.0.13 for about 9 or 10 hours, so am deleting wu in hopes of getting one that uses a different version. Only getting work for 0.0.13. Good to know it's not my setup that faulty though, hopefully it'll be fixed ove...

Re: can't load core: Failed reading core package header
Hello, I'm trying to get started with folding but I can't seem to get any machine to download a core, getting the error: Failed reading core package header I can follow the link and download the core manually in the browser, but FAHClient cannot, apparently due to the headers somehow. This issue pe...

Re: ERROR:WU01:FS01:Exception: Failed reading core package h
I just got exactly the same error while trying to setup a new linux folding machine: I've never seen this error, but I assume there is an issue at the server side, although I was able to download the core in the browser just fine. Note: the "No route to host" error at 14:37:43 is not rele...

Re: ERROR:WU01:FS01:Exception: Failed reading core package h
Same path, can you download it on your folding machine using the browser. I'm just trying to confirm whether it's a problem specific to your folding machine. So far we've ruled out the cores server, the internet, your router and the machine you downloaded the core onto. So does that mean I download...

What is the path in Windows for the core? It appears I can download it in my browser. Weird
