Re: R9-290X not recognizing _x16 as task
probable resolution: Force pcie-16X into 3.0 mode and lock it there. For some reason the Sapphire 290X was bumping the slot in and out of 3.0, when it did that for whatever reason it would miss-time and pop the API in the nose. Roughly the same as the problem we had last year with youtube videos and...

Re: Problem with Radeon 6970 GPU
Use a monitor such as Precision, Trixx or Afterburner. Watch for pulsing ticks in the usage chart. If you're seeing what looks like a really slow pulse rate with almost no utilization it has crashed. Just hit ctrl-c twice on client then kill it with the X because it isn't alive. When you re-start cl...

Re: HD 5450 never starts folding- fails
Check firmware version of GPU, it may not be compatible with current OpenCL. Early HD 5000 cards supported the same outdated version as the HD 4000 and will not work.

Re: GPU is in the whitelist[solved] white has blacklist in i
(side note, while HD 4000 series cards "support" OCL, their version does not work the same as current driver version, depending on firmware some of the earliest release HD 5000 series cards act like HD 4000 series and won't fold _x16 or _x17)

Re: R9-290X not recognizing _x16 as task
Process 8900(47, 0, 138) started exhibiting same behavior at around 94% completion: pulsing clock around 300mhz, no heat in sink. On restart 8900(47,0,138) reverted to 58.06%. Client had to be forced offline. Some sort of memory hole? Manual restarts of client every 25% should solve the issue for _x...

Re: Issue with Folding & Crossfire with 12.4 drivers and up
My system specs are as follows: i7-3770S x2 AMD HD 7850 4x4GB DDR3 1600MHz 512GB OCZ Vertex 4 Corsair AX650 Basically my issue is as follows. If I use 12.3 drivers I can fold on my GPUs with crossfire enabled and game, however if I update to ANY driver beyond 12.3 my system will crash a few minutes...

Re: Black Squares on screen while folding
Nothing wrong with the card, its an issue in the interface with graphical updates to the screen. Likely an Aero problem, like almost every other desktop artifact.

Re: FAH makes GPU driver fail (official 13.9 and beta 13.11v
I do not think they intended to support folding on limited function mobility APU chips.
I know that folding will not load a GPU mode on my Z60 tablet because it really isn't a gpu.

Aye, hash and maths check to verify it will run the same way in a predictable manner.

Re: Project 11923 (31,462,49) Postby Joe_H » Sat Jan 04, 2014 10:07 am There may not be much you can do about the 11293 WU failing. Core_16 works better with older Catalyst drivers, version 12.8 is the newest one known to be fairly stable. Some driver versions since then have worked, but inefficien...

R9-290X not recognizing _x16 as task
Catalyst 13.12, Sapphire R9 290X, "client-type beta" declared, WU 11293 constantly loading on slot reset: ppd reading 2k/frame about 29 minutes. Every 22 seconds the load will spike from zero to about 80% but the GPU clock never leaves 300mhz. Same configuration was hammering out WU 8900 _...

Re: Intel HD Graphics 4000
On just about any CPU that has the intelHD 4000 you're going to get better folding and less lifespan reduction of the cpu simply by doing SMP loads. The 4000 is roughly equivalent to an ATI 3780 in total power and relies heavily on the CPU for much of its function. the OpenCL is just there for compa...

so, oddly, "working as intended" I guess.
