Re: problems with p2681/p2682/p2683 [sneakernetting issues]

How can you be sure whether you're having a sneakernetting issue or a proxy issue or a duplicate WU problem? Can you eliminate one of those items from an upload and see if it works . . . then eliminate the another one and make sure one option works and the others do not. It would be a lot easier to...

Re: problems with p2681/p2682/p2683 [sneakernetting issues]

jcoffland: is good to hear that there is work in progress on this. And I here say I can test it, if I may. but I do all things as said for sneakernetting. all I change is use proxy from yes to no. all other files are packed in a tar.gz and go along to where the work is then uploaded. machinedependen...

problems with p2681/p2682/p2683 [sneakernetting issues]

hail, I know these WU have specific room, but I'd like to bring a question here and if people from PG could answer me, better. I have problems, since I first begun folding bigadv WU's to upload results (proxy problems, never ever got to figure it out). So always had to get the files somewhere to sen...

Re: problems with 171.67.108.24

Setting bigwu in the configuration will fix future assignments but I'm not sure if it will help with ones you've already completed. If they upload correctly, good. If not, you'll probably need "qfix" I did it already, thanks. looks like it was it. still looking after it. thanks, matheus

Re: Suggestion [or how to eliminate slack time between WUs?]

without much talking, I'm a big fan on downloading and uploading in the same time. as was said, my upload is 1/3 of my download. and 2673 makes me send 100MB ! if my upload is just for that, that's quite an hour and some more of what could be almost 20% of a 2669 as next wu. that's why all my quads ...

Re: SMP-64 to FreeBSD?

i'll try to run linux 64bits in vmware when I have time to try amd64 FreeBSD 7.0. As far as I know, VMWare stopped making FreeBSD software a few years ago. Xen doesn't run with FreeBSD as a host OS, either. I don't know of any other VM software to try. I think I saw somewhere people running vmware ...
