Re: Why GPU Failed
The gtx 470 will work but gets only 30k PPD. For 100 dollar you could get a Nvidia gtx 1050 or Amd rx 460 which get 130k PPD. How much money can you spend on a new GPU? 30k PPD x2 will do me fine@$36.00 each x2=$72 (purchased already) though I do need to invest in another 500W OCZ@$50, new at neweg...

Re: Why GPU Failed
yes I did install manually.
I see that was a wrong move and thank you bruce for bringing this to my attention.
I haven't folded in over 3 years,seems a lot has changed.
so a EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 (012-P3-1470-TR) 1.2GB GDDR5 PCIe for cheap will work?

Re: fah-web.stanford.edu DOWN?
the server stats are loading now,but my old 8800/2xx series type WU server (171.67.108.11) is at a netload of 512 which looks to be not so good for those of us doing the older GPU2 WU's (core_11) Perhaps everything else WU wise network is ok for the rest of Folding@home servers...? *Edit I'm good to...

Re: Servers for old G8x/G9x GPUs are down ...
it sure looks as if the writing is on the walls concerning the demise of the older non Fermi GPU Nvidia cards, only time will tell. I myself choose to do Folding@home as a hobby and enjoy doing so,with that said I do not look forward to the cost of purchasing Fermi cards and may just do what I can us...

Re: P7623 from 171.64.65.105 should not be assigned to pre-F
Similar situation here. Two systems with 8800GT using client 6.23 for months have been assigned P7623 which they cannot fold. Delete files, and server reassigns P7623 from same project/server. Why are you not using the updated console client? as posted in the previous post before yours, may help. I'...
