Thanks Rippper36 the very man himself lol I'd sent you a PM enquiry on this subject however I know PMs on here are not very obvious to spot, so no big deal.
Cheers hondo

Re: Gather data: GPU Projects with 20000+ atoms,
I can tell you I'm Folding two WUs with an i5 & a 580GTX Sorry I know nothing about the following and the characteristics of the bus interconnecting it with Main RAM, Edit & updated information System Specification Case: Fractal Design Define R3 Black Power Supply: OCZ ZS 750w PSU CPU: Intel...

Re: 7640 & 7643
I've alluded to suspicions that the PCIe bus may be the limiting factor for these projects rather than the compute speed of the GPU. See Subject: TPF is WAY long -- P7641 for one such example. As has already been pointed out, the speed of the data transfers has two important components, bandwidth a...

Re: 7640 & 7643
Is that sort of like a 60% divide? I guess I've been participating in F@H since 2003-4ish and am still unsure where the middle line is.
I certainly wouldn't expect a computer to allow any deviation when using Excel to keep tabbs on my incoming and out goings.

Re: 7640 & 7643
This is how the current WU scoring system seems to be working here. On the assumption of a static bench mark PC, I’d be very interested in knowing just how the differences stack up? Project 7643 in 10.566 hours = 7718 Points Versus 80xx in 4.02 Hrs = 3843 Points 80xx in 4.02 Hrs = 3843 Points X 2 Th...

Project: 7643 Low PPD
Is it possible to re-evaluate these please, I reckon these are losing me up-wards of 5000 PPD against the 80XX series WUs Although the GPU is set @ 100% load. In MSI Afterburner it's showing only 97% load fortunately though, the temps are down to 63C Project : 7643 Core : GPU3 OpenMM Frames : 100 Cr...

Re: FAH Backup yep or nope
FAH was originally designed to run completely unattended. As 7im said, the checkpoint system is designed to give FAH a chance to resume work after shutting down your system. It is, in fact, a backup, but it doesn't cover every possible situation. If your utility company has a power failure, whether...

Re: FAH Backup yep or nope
Right now, the fah client only saves one checkpoint file (a place to start if you quit running fah). If that file gets corrupted, the WU has to start over at 0. I assume this is why you want to save a backup at 98%, in case the WU gets corrupted? If not, please explain why you need a backup at 98%....

Re: FAH Backup yep or nope
Hi again 7im, I'm really sorry but I wasn't born in an age when PC tuition was taught at school, & TBH I'm completely clueless to understand what it is that you're saying above, can that be done ATM, if so please explain, if not, then thats more than fine by me. I might be being rather clumsy he...

Re: FAH Backup yep or nope
Thanks 7im, TBH I thought I'd sussed out the prior problem of IO errors, but it appears that I occasionally haven't unexpectedly I blew out another one this morning Ahgggggg. Would it not be possible to enclosed (Something) within FAH that could set off an auto backup if pre planned. Knowing me, I'd...

Re: Need help... GPU folding keeps crashing.
Hey guys this might sound a bit or a lot of a dummy question, but how can you tell if CUDA is running or not?
