Have you checked your firewall logs? Perhaps something changed with the new client and your settings.
The new client is running great on my kubuntu system.

Win11+Win Defender+Edge and v8.3.4
I'm using Windows 11 Pro secure boot enable and was running the previous v8.18 client with the Edge browser. I saw the notice in the client about a new version so I hit finish then tried downloading the new client. Download is being blocked by Windows Defender in the same way as anyone that has used...

Re: Lars systems new BETA Update
Well turned out that the fan control is still unstable due to missing kernel patches same as CoreCtrl for the RDNA 3 series cards like mine. I did manage the 1st 16 Linux submissions for any 7900XT/XTX/GRE series gpu into the Folding.Lars.System database. Despite not only being gimped by temps the m...

Re: Lars systems new BETA Update* and MORE
And this new version works with FireFox under Linux too. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS released a new kernel that fixes some sleep/resume issues today. Best of all AMD released LACT an open source version of thier Windows Overclock Utility for Linux can read about it at Phoronix.!!!! I'm folding away right now t...

Lars systems new BETA Update
I hadn't noticed anyone else mentioned that Folding.LARS.Systems has released a version of Folding@Home In The Dark v8 Web Client: BETA.
Works pretty well with V8.1.18, atleast on my single comp no idea how the remote client aspect is working.

Re: Can't get my F@H client to load.
You need to change the view of the process manager. Click on one of the arrows to the left of any of the 4 boxes say video encode. The arrow opens the dropdown menu select either compute 0 or 1 . On my AMD card the FAH process shows up under compute 1. Works for both Win 10 and 11.

I've had cpu wu's that take over 36 hours to complete, tpf in excess of 36 minutes. 6-7 hours is nothing really.

Re: !!PSA: Major AMD Species reshuffle Part 2 underway!!
Thank you for the update.
I had not checked the board in the last week and noticed some erratic performance. I wasn't sure if the 11.23.1 driver was somehow at fault even though everything looked normal under the performance tab settings.
HIP before the New Year would be a welcome surprise.

Re: AMD 6750XT & ROCm OpenCL 5.4.1 & Core22 & Linux libstdc++ conflict
Thank you fixed this for me as well. Kubuntu 22.04 LTS Rocm ver 5.7.0 Asrock 7900XTX. As an aside I downloaded FAHBench and did similar but copied libstdc++.so.6.0.30 into the folder rm'ed the old libstdc++.so.6 that was inside and made the symlink point back to libstdc++.so.6.0.30. FAHBench now wor...

Re: Zero CPUs set, CPU slot running
I had 3 cpu work units trying to fold on the gpu slot with the cpu slider set at 1, no actual gpu unit paused and dumped all 3. It then tried to download a 4th cpu unit I dumped it and deleted the slot and recreated it setting the cpu to zero. So far no further mis-assignments. Hoping it was a serve...

Re: Question about v7 expert settings
Thank you for the extra info my only concern was the 2 options I posted. Both options seem to be working fine, I think for a beta the client is performing great. I was able to configure a bios profile for folding using the asus oc wizard set the cpu to a steady 3.7g. According to Ryzen master all th...

Thank you for the quick reply. I'll install the beta and give it a shot. I'm curious to see how it handles the new hardware.

Question about v7 expert settings
I've been looking at various threads and just want to make sure. I have in V7: next-unit-percentage 100 and pause-on-start true set. From what I gather these settings will be copied over to the new beta client but are they currently supported options? Do they actually work? Nothing worse than seeing...
