Re: How to donate hours of fold, if the system do not let me
I see 15 clients listed now, hopefully you are getting things worked out. It appears to me that it was likely the issue of cloning the installation causing the problem.

Re: New Version Notification?
Actually, I don't think there is any auto notification. At least I've never gotten a notification. It seems that we just need to check in here at the forums or the download page on a regular basis to see if there are any updates.

Re: Dummy GPU Plug>?
Nope, haven't needed them for a while now. Just make sure to have the CUDA GPUs setting to ALL in nVidia Control panel.

Re: Folding@Home Benchmark Beta (0.4 Latest)
Here's what I'm getting for my system with a Core i5 3570K, HD 7870 GHz edition, and GT 640 at their stock clocks. http://imgur.com/52wTaTZ Explicit: 3.97548ns/day Implicit: 20.7468ns/day I'm guessing these scores are a tad low given the hardware used. I'm not really sure how the tests work so I'm ...

Re: Folding@Home Benchmark Beta Testing
no actually i do mean 2 cards working on the same WU - the problem is that kinda don't scale very well when testing internally (and they only work on explicit). I'll probably need to add another flag specifying explicit/implicit - so sorry if I end up breaking all your batch files =P That may be a ...

Re: Folding@Home Benchmark Beta Testing
nice - its a nice list of numbers the you guys are getting. the numbers are going to vary in the upcoming months, as we begin to heavily optimize OpenMM. I trust all of you guys here, but you might want to mention that those numbers are on unofficial - it's pretty easy to hack so we keep an officia...

Re: 171.67.108.34 down?
Trying the sever log page ( http://fah-web.stanford.edu/logs/171.67.108.35.log.html ) gives me a 404 error. Trying the server directly gives me a blank page. The links to the logs with pybeta as bollix47 posted have replaced the older links. As for the blank page, that or a page that gives just an ...

Re: 171.67.108.34 down?
I'm having this download problem on two of my machines too. Trying the sever log page ( http://fah-web.stanford.edu/logs/171.67.108.35.log.html ) gives me a 404 error. Trying the server directly gives me a blank page. Here is my log where is started not getting a new unit: 23:07:27:WU01:FS04:Connect...

Re: DAB & transparicy
7im is correct, we don't make the decisions in the DAB forum. We have the open discussions about the topics and then PG makes the decision they feel is appropriate based on the feedback we have provided. He knows this because that's what was posted in the FahBlog when the group was formed. I've rer...

Re: DAB & transparicy
Not sure what points I'm proving by letting you know that I didn't have the reference on hand to show you where Dr. Pande said that QRB for GPUs was in the plan, but, now that I am home from work and have time to look it up, here it is (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19042&p=190618#p190618). And then,...

Re: DAB & transparicy
I don't have the reference handy, but Dr. Pande had posted about a year ago that they were looking at implementing the QRB on GPU units. Also, it has always been conveyed to donors that hardware descisions should be carefully considered knowing that things can, and will, change over time. One of our...

Re: DAB & transparicy
As a DAB representative myself, I could not see the DAB being what it is without keeping it hidden from public view. We discuss things, like the QRB for GPU, changes to BA, and opening the Beta forums to public viewing, in there in advance of a decision being made and announcing it publicly. If ever...
