Re: A little help, please...(resolved)
The re-install of an older NVIDIA driver seems to have done the trick... We're over 96 hours with no hiccups in operation, so we'll call this one "resolved." What was wrong with the driver/hardware combo? No idea. Why did a previous version of the driver work, and a newer version not work?...

Re: A little help, please...
...so after a couple more times with one or both GPUs "Failed," I scuttled the current NVIDIA driver 555.99 and re-installed a much older driver 472.12 (It was the only one I could find) and after 36 hours, things are folding along quite nicely. What prompted me to do that? It was about th...

Re: A little help, please...
"...I wonder which thing you changed was the solution?..." Indeed. It's not clear, or indeed was it a combo of things changed? And the beast has blown off once (both cards "Failed" (Win 11 (current updates) one 1070 and one 3070 (NVIDIA drivers 599.99 - current))) since the gener...

Re: A little help, please...Resolved...(perhaps)
OK, so you know how you never take a car in for servicing until after you get a car wash...? Wellllll... Dis-assembled the PC, blew out everything thoroughly. Re-loaded the NVIDIA drivers v. 599.xx, new download, then clean, complete, from-scratch reload. Coincidentally, Microsoft downloaded an upda...

I'm seeing the identical issue on an older Intel Quad core 6600 + GTX 750 running Ubuntu 22.04.
I'm wondering if the hardware combo is just plain too old.
Anybody else?
