I decided to take the easy route.
One hard drive holds all my important files/documents and some programs.
Second drive; reformat windows 7 and reinstall SMP/GPU.
Back online and folding!
My RMA GTX 275 should be in this week too.

Re: VMware SMP is having directory issues & can't find Stanford.
I've been running StressCPU2 for a couple hours now at 4.2GHz. Everything seems rock solid except the CPU temperature is at 65c. The max for this CPU is 72c. I'm not too concerned, but if that is the reason my SMP is giving me an End Trace Error than I'll clock down to 4.05GHz. I'm also wondering ho...

Re: VMware SMP is having directory issues & can't find Stanford.
I had forgot my VMware was running while trying some overclocks. I hit a barrier at 4.4GHz. After the reboot I had that network issue which I don't receive anymore but now I get the trace error every time I open VM. I have restarted, reinstalled it, seems like everything. I'm stable at 4.2GHz (prime...

VMware SMP is having directory issues & can't find Stanford.
I was overclocking my E8400 3.0GHz to 4.2GHz. Worked fine. My nature instinct say lets hit 4.4GHz for fun. BSOD. I reboot and reset the clock back to the stable 4.2GHz. I started up VMware to resume my work and this is what I have received. http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/5734/livestrong.th.jpg C...

Re: Want to set up folding farm with older cpus
If your powering the old computers via solar panel or wind turbine I would say your contribution to science would be overshadowed by the pain inflicted on the environment. Fun to farm with and setup? Sure. Useful? No. Sorry to be such a thorn in your idea. Best of luck though with any further projec...

Re: New Super Computer Hardware/Software Advances. [URL]
I can't find one on eBay. Can you imagine working there? I would end up spilling my coffee and shorting 500 cores. I used to walk past the first digital computer at Iowa State on my way to class. I find it fascinating that in 50 years people will be laughing at 160,000 core "supercomputers"...

Re: Project: 5745 (Run 2, Clone 34, Gen 337)
I've seen a couple threads about 480x series running into this issue. Have you overclocked the cards? You can experience an unstable machine with high overclocks even with low and stable temperatures >80c. If clock speed is not the issue perhaps check if your voltages are adequate compared to other ...

I'm working on a 511ptr right now and hitting 75-78c, which I find adequate.

Re: Time it takes Folding server to recognize your team?
PNY 260 core 216 currently clocked at 725/1100, Shader 1545. 70% fan. I got this card only two days ago so I'm still tweaking the clocks. I was using FaHmon to measure my PPD; is this not accurate? It is currently running 9531PPD at this moment. Just picked up FaHWatch, thanks for the link, looks li...

Re: Time it takes Folding server to recognize your team?
I should have explained more patonb. I'm averaging 11-14k with a Notfreds' on a Dual Core 3.0GHz, GTX 260 (overclocked, still playing with settings), and two Pentium 4's; 3.8GHz and 2.2GHz. My PNY 260 core 216 was doing 9600 last night; today it has stayed around 8500. I will further tweak the clock...

Re: Time it takes Folding server to recognize your team?
Yes mdk777, for some reason I decided to try and make LIVESTRONG.ORG team again and it actually worked. Don't worry I was in the setup stage for my rigs so that PPD does not concern me. So now there is my current LIVESTRONG.ORG team # 169003 which is what I will be using for folding from now on. I w...

Time it takes Folding server to recognize your team?
I need to change important information about my team (Email, URL, Password). The team is only about a week old. When I attempt to make the changes it says my team does not exist. When I search for my team it also show that it is non existent. However, if I search for my team NUMBER I can locate my t...
