Re: advanced control issue
Kmiller922, I also noticed when looking through your log that you have checkpoints set at 3 minutes. Unless you have an unstable system or unreliable power, you might consider removing that and using the default 15 minute interval. That will reduce the load on your system, especially if you have spi...

Re: [ubuntu server 20.04] systemctl issue
Whompithian and Bruce, thanks for your help. v21 is back to running after a reboot ... finally. Turns out the startup for the client must perform a check of config.sys that failed when it hit my tag error. Once I fixed that and restarted the computer the config.sys was parsed and folding started rig...

Re: advanced control issue
If folding is running (is it?) the logs should be written. Look at the two potential locations in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=108&t=36413 You should be able to find them using explorer and see the latest log and the previous 16 in the <logs> subdirectory. I suspect all the logs will be deleted ...

Re: [ubuntu server 20.04] systemctl issue
Bruce, I can verify that FAHClient is not running after a reboot. When I run the reboot script I see the following errors. If there is an error in my config.xml I can't see it. This is the same file I used with 7.6.13 with the exception of the <fold-anon> line. Hopefully I have captured enough of th...

Re: [ubuntu server 20.04] systemctl issue
I too am having problems with v21 and Ubuntu 20. I have installed the 7.6.21 client four times and while the installs are a little different each time, the result is the same. After an install, v21 prompts for the username, password, team, and power setting (I always select "full"). Then a...

Project: 17201 (Run 0, Clone 2568, Gen 185) reduced threads
Have we made a change to server codes to reduce threads to avoid domain decomposition errors? I noticed the fans on my 48 thread machine were idle and found it was only using 9 threads to process this Project: 17201 (Run 0, Clone 2568, Gen 185). Looking through the log I found this. It is the first ...

Re: Project: 14719 (Run 802, Clone 4, Gen 0) GROMACS Error
If at first you don't succeed ... After nearly three hours of trying to do this work unit, my computer finally went right through it without problems and successfully completed it. Bruce, I am at a loss to explain this one. 17:05:27:WU01:FS00:Starting 17:05:27:WU01:FS00:Removing old file 'work/01/lo...

Project: 14719 (Run 802, Clone 4, Gen 0) GROMACS Error
Project: 14719 (Run 802, Clone 4, Gen 0) is stuck on my 48 thread server with this error. Any way I can process this or should I get rid of it? I have not seen this error before. Log extract follows: 15:03:18:WU01:FS00:Received Unit: id:01 state:DOWNLOAD error:NO_ERROR project:14719 run:802 clone:4 ...

Re: Assign Servers Seem to be Gone
As of 0000z Assign 1 is back and I've received work from 18.188.125.154. We seem to be back up.

Re: Assign Servers Seem to be Gone
And wouldn't you know it ... Work Server 155.247.166.220 worked perfectly. But that was just one work unit at 1317z and nothing since.

Assign Servers Seem to be Gone (Now Back Up)
Since 1317z I am being passed among various Assign Servers but there does not seem to be any work. Are we experiencing some sort of major outage? Log below seems to be repeating through 2300z 13:17:36:WU01:FS01:Connecting to assign1.foldingathome.org:80 13:17:36:WARNING:WU01:FS01:Failed to get assig...

Re: Not Receiving GPU Work Units
Is this right? I thought 192 IP address was within a local network. Not sure why assign1 would send you to an IP address like that.

Re: 155.247.166.220 downloads stalled
Just lost 8 hours after a hung download. I was assigned to .220 at 1900z so I am not a good test. I will try firing up the computer tomorrow if this problem is really fixed.

Re: WU 13416 Exception access violation
Hopefully not a continuing trend. If so, perhaps stopping for a while and running memory tests and check disk/surface scans would tell you something more. Good luck!
